Geforce2 MX or Geforce DDR for Need For Speed 4?

I'm running a voodoo3 3k right now and i'm thinking of getting a new card. I play q3 mainly and I know that the Geforce DDR runs q3 better. However, I also play many single texture games such as Fifa2000, Need For Speed, and Baldurs Gate. Since the MX is clocked at 175mhz and the DDR is clocked at 120 and these games are single texture, wouldn't the MX run these games better? Also, which one has better 2d, DDR or MX? Btw, the Geforce2 GTS is out of the question because i only have a p3 500 w/256 mb RAM. Thanks in advance.

I say dont get either. Your Voodoo3 will run those game ok for now, and they'll have NV20 and Radeon2 and other crap(oops i mean cards) soon so i think best route is to wait till new cards so u can get Geforce2 GTS or others for lower price at least or get those high power cards.
just my 2 cents.

The GF DDR is a bit faster at high resolutions but other than that the cards are pretty much the same.

I say get the MX because it is cheaper, uses less power and doesn't experience as much motherboard compatibilies as the GF does.

Thanks for the advice guys.. i think i'll listen to MustangSVT and stick to the v3 3k for now.. unless there is a hot deal for an MX for DDR ;) However, i'm still curious to find out if the MX will run games like NFS4 faster than the DDR (clock speed)

btw Baldur's Gate 1 was a purely 2D game so you could probably get it to run smooth on a ATI 3D Xpression. LOL (4 year old card)
