GeForce2/GTS or GeForceDDR

Putting together a few sistems for Mom and a nephew out of a lot of old crap here. Have over 15 modems, vid cards, NIC's, etc... JUNK!... (as I used to build a PC every few months but stopped years ago). So here's the question...

What's newer/better? A GeForce2/GTS or a DDR... Markings on the cards are fairly similar and NO clue on the manufacturer...

Any sites out there that might give me a clue? Want to setup nephew w/ the best card for some gaming, and Mom won't game much 🙂 Just internet, word, email crap.

Tks a lot all...

GeForce 2 came after and is thus better than the DDR. Should get ~30% improvement in performance IIRC.

geforce2gts definitely..
They're pretty close, just the GTS has two TMUs instead of one, and is clocked higher.
DefRef is right about the performance differences.

I had a GF2 Ti for awhile and my parents still have a DDR. Let me just say the Ti kicked the crap out of the DDR in performance.

Great... Thanks all for the help... DDR for Moma and GTS for nef... Now doing clean installs on 3 pc's at the same time... FUN! 🙂

Anyone wants a 9700 pro?

Ohhh yea! I could actually use a 9700p for my girlfriend's brother. Hes always watching me play games with his jaw practically on the ground. Poor kid doesnt have a good computer and his mom is only paying $500 for me to build him one including a monitor. You can see the delema...
