Geforce2 GTS DDR clock/memory MHz ????

Hey yo, this is my first post on these boards, and i am glad to be a new member of the AnandTech community. OK i recently got an MSI Geforce2 GTS 64mb DDR video card, and i did the registry tweak to enable the Clock Frequency option to be adjusted. I have been reading these boards for assistance on various video card OCing , but my clock freq numbers are different from the ones i have read.
My numbers are like this:

CORE CLOCK FREQ - 200 MHz
MEMORY CLOCK FREQ - 401 MHz

is there any advice one can give to some suitable OCing settings? I tried to jack the settings but i noticed articfacts so i immediatly returned to the default settings. Thanks for the time, and i look forward to your advice!!!

My back-up unit has the MSI gts pro which I think is what you have.

Those are the stock freqs and mine doesn't care to o/c very much either.

Getting a good o/cing card is very much luck of the draw.

The key is to slowly increase speeds. First, start by moving the memory speed up 5 MHz. Then, test for artifacts. If no artifacts occur, increase the speed by another 5 MHz. Again, test for artifacts. Continue this procedure until artifacts do occur. At that point move the speed down 5 MHz. Then complete the same steps for the core speed.

Every piece of hardware is different and will overclock to different levels. The only generic advice I can give you is to take things slow and easy and don't jump straight to settings that you've seen other people use.

401 MHz memory is quite a high setting for a 333 MHz GTS.

Yes. Of course an easy test is to put your board back to stock settings and see if the problem is still present.

401 is quite high, well i am at 441 with no artifacts. I am getting some quite impressive FPS, high 80s on RtCW, and thats on a Duron1300 system.

Well, it's a GTS Pro too. the original GTS, with 32MB of RAM is what I have. That runs at 333MHz. The Pro has 64MB, and it runs at 400MHz, leaving a nice 6.4GB/s of mem bandwidth. the GTS only 'allows' ~5.3GB/s.
