Geforce w/ Super Socket 7?

Reading over the upgrade article I noticed that the test sytem used a Geforce card. I tried a Geforce card a while back and it didn't work (using Asus p5A) because Asus says their Socket 7 MB doesn't supply enough power to run the GEforce. How did you get it to work?

Some (other) boards are able to power GF, that's all 🙂. I had Aopen AX59Pro with GF2 MX and it worked... (haven'd tried GF2 GTS thought...)

I used a Geforce DDR with success on a EPoX EP-MVP3G5 with 300W power supply even though EPoX told me it would never work. (Ran very stable 🙂)

Hi!

I had a Geforce1 DDR (Creative Labs Annihilator Pro) that I got to work on the ASUS P5A. I had a 250W ATX power supply, and it worked fine. I remember I had wierd errors for a while, but then I realized that I had to change some BIOS settings, as recommended by Creative's site. After that, It worked without a hitch.
