GeForce TV-Out Woes

I am trying to set up a computer as a divx player, but have run into a wall. The machine will not display videos most of the time. The way I have it right now, some videos will play in full screen, others will not. None of the videos play in windowed mode. What I mean when I say they don't play is that the screen remains blank. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi i have a similar problem.. tv out not working at all.. just a blank screen on the tv. what steps did you do?? has something appeared on the tv??? also do you need a program for tv out to work??? i thought that whatever appears on the main monitor will appear on the tv.. thks..

What are you using to use dual display? What OS? What drivers? Which card?

With nView and my MSI GF4 Ti4400, I am able to output just about anything fullscreen to both my monitor and a TV at the same time, this includes: dvds (MSI's player), divx (divx playa and media player), and oldschool console emulators... as well as fullscreen OpenGL games (and I imagine directx).

You have to specifically output to two devices (or explicitly output to your tv), it doesn't happen automatically. If you're using any of the last 2-3 releases of the detonator drivers, you should go to Display Properties --> Settings --> Advanced, then click the nView tab. try selecting the clone button, and/or detecting displays and selecting the TV and checking 'make this the primary display.'

Also, and you probably know this, have everything hooked up before you boot up. Stopped me for awhile.
