I know this is a hardcore forum, but I have a new Dell with a GeForce2 GTS DDR and maybe someone can help.

Can I use the latest drivers from NVIDIA? I think the Dell uses it's own drivers.

I'm new to Windows, and can't find the driver version much less the drivers, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Is this card a standard AGP card that can be removed and replaced?

If you have a GeForce2 GTS then it is a full GeForce2 card in an AGP slot, therefore you should have not problem removing it and replacing it if you want to. You can check to make sure by popping open your case and taking a look. It should be the card at the top with the fan on it:)

Yes, you can use the Detonator drivers directly from nVidia. If you have any video in(not sure if the Dell boards do or not) then that may not work with the reference Detonator3 drivers, but if not then your board should work the same as it is now if not better(depending on the driver they shipped the computer with).

To find your driver version, right click on "My Computer" and click on "Properties". Then click on the "Device Manager" tab and check the "View Devices by Type" box. Find "Display Adapters" and click the plus sign. Dounble click on the GeForce2, this should bring up the GF2 screen and you can click on the "Drivers" tab on the top. On that page, click on the "Driver file details" and it will list a version number something like this-

4.12.01.0647

That would be a 6.47 driver build. I would reccomend the 6.31 drivers for someone that isn't a "geek", the later drivers are beta and can be problematic. First thing is to check the drivers that you are currently running, no use trying to update if you are running the Det3s anyway.

Feel free to ask anymore questions you may have:)

No, the 5.32s are Detonator2 drivers. There is a sizeable performance boost moving to the 6.31 drivers available on nVidia's website in many games and some applications.
