Geforce Pro 64MB 5ns vs. 4.5ns?

I've got a Inno3d Geforce 2 Pro 64MB at 225\466, I'm very happy with it so far. My question is: would it be worth it to upgrade to the Gainward 4.5ns version and overclock to 225\500? This would be running 1024 x 768 at 32-bit and 16-bit, FSAA set on 4x. Would I notice any real gaming speed improvements or just a few benchmark numbers?

no, if you're happy, keep your money. you would notice very little, if any difference, other than a few pts in benchmarks.

besides, 500MHz memory o/c is not gauranteed. 4.5ns memory is rated at 444MHz.

1/4.5=222MHz (444MHz DDR)

1/5=200 (400MHZ DDR)

so 11% difference as far as ratings go. o/c gains depends on the chip yeilds, so mileage will vary. I have to agree with you tho; bottom line I sincerely doubt 10% speed increase is noticeable.

<< no...

I'm pretty sure .5 of a Nanosecond is not going too make a noticeable difference..

I could be wrong..

Thanks guys, I kinda figured I was just being greedy and the performance gain was minimal at best. Besides, the 2d of this Inno3d card is exceptional for a Geforce.
