GeForce MX (TwinView) in Linux

I noticed that recently nvidia released the 0.96 driver set that has twinview architecture enabled. I have a few questions about their implementation

a) what is the maximum resolution achievalble for both displays ( my target would be 1280x1024 for display 1 and 2 at 16 bpp on two identical 19" monitors )

b) do the drivers support Xinerama extensions from XFree 4.0X. If not, is there a way to achieve one large ( 2560x2048 in my case ) virtual display.

c) how is the X performance with twinview enabled at 1280x1024+ resolution for both heads? I'm looking for a qualitative approach that relates the performance to a single head display.

d) any suggestion as far as vendor choice ( Asus, eVGA, etc)

all responses ( even not related to linux ) are welcome
