First off, I know now that the mx400 ain't even worth the extra 10 bucks. BUT, nevertheless, I got problems.
Alrighty then. Here's the rundown: I got this card, put it in, started the system.
System didn't like it. Installed drivers from provided CD (and later downloaded/installed 12.41) and downloaded motherboard agp drivers (which were up-to-date before anyway).
What happens is that every game I try doesn't work. I get fatal errors and crap-outs and freezes usually before the game level/stage/splash screen loads.
So I went to DirectX 8.0 diagnostics. I tried to test Direct3d and Direct Draw and everything, but when I pressed "Test Direct3d" the program crashed. I repeated this same process and got the same 'results'.
Anyway have any wise knowhow about this problem-o-mine? Thanks,
