Lo, got a problem with my GeForce DDR and a plug and play 17" monitor and I think it's a driver problem. If anyone know anything I'd appreciate a reply.

When I install the drivers that came with the GeForce DDR (detonator 3.62 I think), there was no problem and I could use resolution 1280x1024.

The newer detonator drivers (I've tried 5.22 and 5.3 on clean windows install so it wasn't picking up old files), the highest res I could get was something like 1280x960. I tried to enable resolution 1280x1024 by using hztool and powerstrip but they won't let me. Powerstrip told me the hardware doesn't support that res even though I could use it with my old tnt1 and with my GeForce when I was using older drivers.

My plug and play monitor does not save settings at 1280x960 so that's no good for me. Anyone know how I can enable res 1280x1024??

You sure you have installed the correct monitor driver for your monitor? If you have done so but you still can't choose it, try running other monitor drivers. I have heard that Acer monitor drivers give you the most choices.
