Just wanted to start this thread so that the owners of the 10 series cards can share their overclocks, coolers and mods etc for the rest of us looking to buy one.

Would love to see how the FE cards in the hands of you fellow ATers stack up against the AIB cards.

Share your pics, experiences and results here!

Just got a ZOTAC GTX 1080 FE 2 days ago and installed an EK Acrylic/copper GTX 1080 fullblock on it. After leak testing etc it runs great. I moved my EVGA GTX 980 TI SC with an EK block to my 4790k machine.

How does the 1080 perform in comparison to the 980TI SC?

Here are Firestrike graphic results for both the 980TI SC and GTX 1080 in normal, extreme and ultra

Normal: 18,626/22,498

Extreme: 8562/10,668

Ultra: 4233/5203.

Hope this helps.
VERY smooth card.

I'll post other tests if you want. See the GTX 1080 in rig 1 in my sig below.

Good idea for the thread, as I said in another thread. I picked up the gigabyte g1 gaming gtx 1080 and am sitting on 2088mhz for my max overclock with occasional boost spikes to 2100. They come with a pre overclocked setting, so adding 125mhz the card is stable, but when I go to +150 with everything else maxed it artifacts even though temps are around 60c with the fan at 100%. Noise doesn't bother me as I run 4 scythe ultra kaze's on the top of my corsair 900D at 100% fan speed lol.

I plan on doing some volt modding to see if I can get 2100 100% stable and keep playing with things. I can say that I really don't care for gigabytes overclocking/temp tool personally. I prefer msi afterburners or evga's precise. I would like to see a new update come out for Nvidia drivers that allows us to push the voltage higher.

I have a EVGA GTX 1080 FE and my current 24/7 OC is: 2075 / 5433 (using EVGA Precision)

The core can go higher but temps become an issue unless I want to run my fan at 100% which I do not.

My GTX 1080 Firestrike score as of today: 17675

My 1080 is a pretty poor overclocker. It's a EVGA 1080 Superclock with a default boost clock of ~1850mhz. Just a +50mhz offset is causing instability and any higher than that and it won't finish a 3dmark run.

You know EVGA probably binned the chips and are saving the best ones for something like a kingpin edition.

What does gpuz show for a ASIC score?

@gusline

You didn't post your clock speeds.

Ultra 5058 on my rig; boost at 2062.5 and it stayed at max boost for most of the test; primarily between 2050 and 2062.5 based on logs.

I love the EVGA Precision X tool. I just force the max boosts and play whatever game I want with a +200 offset. Rock-solid!

Which if true I would never buy an EVGA card short of the top of the line version. You may do better with any other brand that doesn't bin like that. Also I've had some low ASIC cards overclock very well.

Might be good to 'step up' to the ACX 3.0 or something? Maybe just a better lottery result? :)

FYI -

ASIC scores are not yet supported on the GTX 1080. Not sure they ever will be...for now, old versions provide invalid results, and the latest states it is explicitly not supported.
