GeForce GTX 960 connection question

I just bought "EVGA 04G-P4-3966-KR GeForce GTX 960 4GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support SuperSC ACX 2.0+ Video Card." Which I am pretty excited about. I have two older PX2710MW monitors - each have HDMI AND DVI connectors. Here is/are my question(s):

I want to run dual monitors with the two PX2710MW - Will this card allow me plug one into the HDMI port, and plug other into the DisplayPort - via an active adapter to HDMI? So I would be running one straight HDMI cable and one display port to HDMI adctive adapter. Will this work , or do I need to run two active DisplayPort Adapters? I am looking at these from newegg, any suggestions?

That would work, but why not just use DVI for the other monitor? I'd personally never use adapters if it's not necessary to do so

You make a good point. Thank you. I was not sure if the DVI would work with the HDMI at the same time. Also, would the quality be the same?

Yes, quality will be identical. Unless you have a 4K monitor with HDMI 2.0, the only real advantage HDMI has over DVI is being able to carry audio.
