I am currently wondering if I should upgrade or not my graphics card? My gaming resolution is 1920x1200. Don't worry my other parts of my system are fine for now.

I played GTA V without problems and plan on playing The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt and DOOM soon maybe.

May be getting Battlefield 1 as well but doubt it.

770 has a 4gb version??? I honestly didn't know.

why not try the games with the 770 first? why buy the hardware before you try the games? you might be ok with the performance.

W3 and doom are kinda demanding if you want max settings. I know for certain a 770 can never max out W3. so try it out first, you might be ok even with lower settings.

Will be playable just fine but you definitely won't want to try to max all settings. There will be a little benefit in upgrading but probably not worth upgrading for those games at that resolution.

I always max out all the details at the beginning and if I get at least 30 fps + I am happy.

GTX 770 is still a decent card for 1080p, but it really depends on which games you play and at what settings.
It's actually pretty simple. If it runs all the games you play just fine, you don't need to upgrade. If you find some game you play runs worse than you'd like, you need to upgrade.

I have the EVGA GTX 770 ACX 2GB card and it runs games pretty well. I was shocked at how well it ran The Division. But it will be replaced by an EVGA 1070 ACX 3 card sometime in June\July.

The Division is not a very demanding game.

Let me know how your upgrade goes please!

If I were a Kepler owner like you I would be hesitant to go back to the same company that provided such an awful long term value. Had you went with the similarly priced Radeon 290 you would still have a top level card instead of one that barely competes with a Geforce 960 in modern titles. I would wait to see where Polaris 10 actually lands before you make possibly the same mistake all over again..

$400 ($330 after price cut when 290 launched) 770 vs $400 290

60 fps vs 27 fps, in a Nvidia title using their technologies.

I'd wait for Polaris reviews on June 29 and make your decision then. 770 resale value is already probably pretty close to the bottom so I dont think youd lose more than another $25 off the resale price

The 290 was selling way above RRP (twice or more the 770s cost) with really awful availability for quite a bit due to the litecoin mess. While it would have been a better card it wasn't an option for many people for quite some time.
