GeForce GT 555M vs Intel HD 4000?

Hi all,
I have been asking myself out of curiosity which is the more powerful GPU of the two- the integrated HD 4000 that comes with Ivy Bridge CPUs or the GeForce GT 555M in my Dell laptop. It's not about the amount of VRAM, it's about which one is more powerful.
I can't find any benches that compare both or at least similar GPUs.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

Thanks for the answers, guys.
I was kind of hoping it would be the other way around (I'll be seling my XPS soon) but I guess things are what they are :)

If you dont game tho I would go HD4000 for battery efficiency. Else the 555 is far superiour.

IMO, HD 4000 should be quite capable in lower resolutions w/ low to medium settings. I would ditch that Geforce based laptop without any hesitation :)

Integrated/on-die is the way to go on a laptop. It's simpler design (more reliable), less heat output and longer life.

Low res and low settings. Sounds Yummy.

Well, my only concern is 3DS Max really. And to be more precise- relatively heavy scenes (1-2 million polygons) is my interest. I don't intend using the HD 4000 with 3DS Max permanently, only when I have to be portable (I plan on building 2 portable Ivy Bridge/mini ITX render nodes soon).

Games I play on my desktop anyway.
Thanks guys :)

It depends on what you want to do. I would much prefer the 555m for any kind of gaming. Otherwise the hd4000 is fine. To me the hd4000 is inadequate for gaming, except maybe older games. Even the trinity A10, although a better igp, is still very marginal for gaming.

go for nvidia...
Intel drivers suck for 3DS MAX, it can't render the textures properly...
