Geforce Go/ ATI mobility - use same agp interface?

Do the laptop graphics cards use the same interface to plug into the motherboard as do desktop gfx cards use agp to do so? I do know that the barebone kit of the desknote i'm interested in has ULTRA AGP II interface, but the geforce 4 go 420 module for it is way too expensive and that ebay auctions on similiar cards from dell laptops are a third of the price. Thanks.

no, the interface is not the same. they're mini-agp proprietary ports for the manufacturer. The video card is designed to fit a specific motherboard for a specific manufacturer.
