Geforce Go 7900 GS

Is the Geforce go 7900 GS equal to a Geforce go 7800 GTX?

Well the 7800 GO GTX has 24pp/8vs but it's also built on an older process so it doesn't overclock nearly as well as the 7900 Go GS. Most 7900 Go GS cards clock up to 600 core with no problem and thus end up faster than an overclocked 7800 Go GTX. The approximate difference between the two overclocked cards is about 1000 points in 3dmark05 in favor of the 7900 Go GS.

i haven't seen any geforce 7900 gs's outside dell and alienware.
If u can get one,that would be a great buy.The geforce 7900 gt is comparable in performance to the 7800 gtx(minus the ocing headroom).So i guess the 7900 gs would fall a wee bit below that.

Yep definitely. Either that or a system with a 7900 Go GTX in it.

The 7900GS is basically a 7800GT-just 25Mhz slower. So good card, but Oblivion would still eat it alive. :/

Oblivion doesn't eat it alive when you OC the 7900 Go GS to 600+/1200.
