I don't think that was posted until very recently.

And looking at the article, all I have to say is wow that is one fast card for a laptop, I wonder how they are cooling the GPU.

Looks nice (but I'm sure you'll only get about 45 minutes of battery life out of it :p)

Remember this for DTR notebooks, not ultra portable or anything.

I own the XPS Gen2 and it is PLENTY portable. This is nothing like the first herckin brick XPS laptop from Dell. This is the most impressive laptop I've ever had the privelege of touching. I am truly blessed. You have not lived until you've played Chronicles of Riddick at 1900x1200 on this thing.. Even my wife was impressed and she hates computers.

well actually i feel it is even more powerful than the 6800Ultra. u also have to bear in mind that it is running in a mobile that has a much lesser powerful processor than an AMD FX-55 and yet it showed some impressive results(very close to the Ultra)...some good news for mobile gamers!!

This was released before Dell got a hold of it, for those D900T based chassis laptops (Sager, Eurocom, and a few others).

It's funny that it had to take Dell receiving it for it to make any sort of waves.

Are there currently any other laptops out that have the 6800go ultra other than the xps2?

Sager only has the 6800 NON ultra

The Ultra is stupid. It runs at 68W. In comparison, the Pentium M CPU tops 27W max.

Get the non-Ultra. It's offered in the Dell 9300. Almost as fast, especially when overclocked. You won't top 40W OCed ;)

Wrong, but whatever, bud. Having talked with them (and tested the cards), I can promise you they have them.

Not only that, what does wattage have to do with anything? It's a DTR.

On eurocom's website there are two 6800s, one with ddr, and another with ddr3 and a + symbol after 6800. I'm guessing that's the ultra?

ya when u have such a high performing GPU who really cares about how much power it consumes. these mobiles were not built for the average user in mind just pure hardcore gamers who can just throw $2000 or whatever on it without the concern of POWER!!!

What's a DTR? You mean you only use it when connected to power source?
This is a damn impressive laptop. I wonder how much it sells at.
