wow that's quite a bit of $$$, but what i expected
then i'm looking to upgrade the SiS card in the Vaio my dad bought me for xmas to a Radeon 9700. i know this is the card i want to buy, but i'm not an expert on why types of the card.
$500 for the Ultra model... $400 for the other one... whatever it is... but if you're thinking of buying one might as well go for the ultra. When it comes out it'll probably be lower.
I have a feeling nVidia might release another Ti4200 type card based on the GF FX but pull an ATI and try to clock lock it like ATI did with the 9500 Pro.

That's bad news for me if that's true: I love my Ti 4200 128MB that doubles as a Ti 4400 with ease. I was hoping to upgrade to the 4200ish model of the GeForce FX when it became available.
