The Radeon 9800 pro is faster, the fx5900 non-u is cheaper.

The FX5900 nu is the best bang for the buck imho.

Id reccomend a Radeon 9700 Pro over a Radeon 9800 Pro because they are within 3% of each other in performance, and the 9700P is significantly cheaper.

The 9800Pro will trash the 5900Non-Ultra. The 9800Non-Pro is about the same speed, but faster with AA and AF enabled. It may also be much much faster at DX9 games, but at this point it's still pretty much speculation (it *is* faster at TR:AOD, but until more titles hit the market, it's hard to say anything definitive).

real-time performance is almost identical. My roommate has an eVGA 5900nu overclocked and I have a 256mb 9800pro and our games basically look the same. I can run a little extra AA/AF but other than that everything else is the same. the 5900 is great value. eVGA's overclocks like a pro

even though the 5900 NU is a good performer for the money its still expensive...its around 200$. FX cards can't run DX9 games through DX9 so u are left with DX8...and 200 dollars for a card that cannot play in DX9 is too much to me,but if u careless about DX9 it dun matter

Excuze me, Ge Force FX dont run on Directx 9 ?????????????????????????
I thought thats the reason they changed the name to FX... because its the new series of Ge Force that supports directx 9. ARE U SURE ABOUT THAT? So u saying Nvidia has no directx 9 suppoorting cards yet?

That all depends on what game you play.

Wait for 6 months, get the newest thing out, and tell me if the two cards still look the same in "real time"

You're sig is retarded, those are beta leaked drivers and no one outside of NVIDIA should be using them.

Show me some IQ changes on WHQL drivers from NVIDIAs website.

Neither of those are DX9 titles, they tossed on some shaders at the end of development but they are hardly full blown DX9 games.

The 1st True DX9 title is to be Half Life 2, early next year.
