I am extremely confused about the different versions and revisions of the Geforce FX 5600 card. So far, i have hear of the 128mb version, the 128mb ULTRA, the 128mb ULTRA rev. 2, the 256mb version, and the improved ram 256mb version.

Can someone give me a chart or link of some sort to explain the speed and package differences between these cards. Some of these 5600s are being compared to the Ti4200 and some are being compared to the Ti4400, yet i've heard as an introduction of these cards that the 5600 ultra was ment to replace the Ti4600.

So far i have my best interests in the Rev.2 of the ULTRA series because it sports the highest clock rates and a revised architecture that was derived after the 5800 failure and the 5900 introduction.

I have also heard of a soon replacement of the 5600 a month back and is that the rev.2? or is there more still to come?

Thnks

Umm, here, just go to this site and read a couple of the reviews {H}ardIOCP. It is a bit confusing but here's my grasp on things. The 5600 is comparible to the 4200 and beats it once AA/AF(might beat the 4600 too) is turned on. The 5600 ultra never hit stores except maybe the Leadtek one at newegg. The 5600 Ultra rev2 is almost comparible to the 9500pro and should be on par with the 9600pro. The rev2 beats the 4600 with AA/AF on, but the 4600 is still best with no filtering. Except it might be expected that the rev2 of the 5600 ultra might cost around $250, which is way too expensive. So it's your call.
