Geforce disturbing wintv

Hi !

I recently bought a geforce2 card to boast the graphics a bit. As we all know the cards come with a small fan to prevent the gpu to overheat.

For some reason the fan on the card generates some electrical distortion on the tv-tuner. The picture tvpicture from the wintv card gets messed up. But as soon as I replace the geforce card with my old one(no fan) the tvpicture returns to its normal look.

Does someone have any good soloution on this? Hopefully other than throwing the geforce card in the trash.

If I understand you correctly, you had better isolate the problem to the fan by disabling it before being sure that is the source of the problem and not the card itself, versus the old card (which does not have a fan).

And if it turns out to be the fan then is it really needed and if it is can you move the TV card away from it?
