GeForce DDR drivers- do the newer drivers do anything for performance?

I know when Detonator 3 was released, it actually decreased performace of TNT2 cards. I was wondering if a peak has been hit for the GeForce DDR video, and if so, what is it? I figured since they are up to GeForce4 now, Nvidia might not care how much it affects the original GeForce.

There was a small performance boost seen in some cases with the Detonator 4's (2x.xx series), so it'd probably be worth upgrading at least to those. I don't think there has been anything more then very minor performance variations since then though, and there have been various small bugs in the Det4's.
If it was me I'd probably stick with an earlier Det4 in the 21.81 or 21.83, or go for the 27.10's.

I seen small improvement from each new detonator series on my geforce ddr, but as Rand said it will not be anything spectacular.

But if you are trying to reach a little bit higher on 3dmark or some other benchmark then they may help a little. Imho they are worth trying, if they give you problems or slow you down then switch back.

Thanks for the tips- I just wanted to make sure the drivers hadn't already peaked some driver ago, and that the current ones would decrease in peformance.
