NVIDIA is prepping the already confirmed GT200 graphics chip for an early July launch several sources reported last week. In order to counter ATI and their RV770 GPU which is almost complete, NVIDIA will launch GT200 powered GeForce 9900 graphics cards hoping to take the performance crown from ATI once again using old but proved tactics. The first two models from the GeForce 9900 series will be 9900 GTX and 9900 GTS instead of the previously speculated GeForce 9900 GT.

The GTX needs to come out on my birthday, July 7th, for $299.99.

Any other date or price & i will be disappointed :evil:

I seriously doubt it will be 299. Anyway birthdays are there to blow money so without hesitation go ahead and buy it.

Did i not make a *promise* to you here ? .. about FIVE weeks ago?
.. that GT200 was taped out last year .. and was *waiting for r700*?

--or am i thinking of another "apoppin"?

That same apoppin-guy also said "june" for r700; would he be "PR" for both companies? Doubtful if you are logical - try neither; evidently he just needs to work on his "Chinese" language skills [almost none; the graphs are clear, however]; if so, you will get even faster pre-news/speculation if he does and if the sources remain the same [doubtful; so i am not learning 10,000 picture-words, although it might be useful in the future]
