Hi,

Mobo is Asus P5N7A-VM which has integrated graphic nVidia GeForce 9300 mGPU http://www.nvidia.com/object/p...orce_9300_mgpu_us.html. I am using this sytem with Ubuntu 9.04.

I plan to purchase the following monitor: SAMSUNG 2343BWX http://www.newegg.com/Product/...6824001317&Tpk=2343BWX

Which has a native resolution of 2,048 x 1,152 (QWXGA). I would like to know if the nVidia GeForce 9300 would be compatible with this resolution.

All I need is a new bigger screen. I have no particular attachment with that resolution, just wondering if there is anything to be careful about this strange resolution. Because this screen is on sale this week at my local electronic store.

I would appreciate any general advice about screen bigger than 22 inches. May be there is something bad about this Samsung screen to have it on sale.

Thanks very much in advance.

Yes, the 9300 supports up to 2560x1600.

You can force pretty much any resolution within that limits that you want using custom resolutions... want 999x1115@47hz?? great just make a custom resolution

Super cool thx. Looks encouraging. Now all I need to check is if Ubuntu 9.04 and the nVidia driver also allow custom resolution.
