So I walked in to Fry's today and picked up a Evga Geforce 8800GTX for $649. This is the first time I've boughten a graphic card at launch. So I make some room in my case (the card is freaking huge) and locate 2 extra molex plugs and pop in the CD. Looks like they are shipping Forceware 97.02 on the CD. Try to load the driver.. error. This is because I run XP x64 edition. Why, because I'm sucker for the latest beta crap. Anyways it tells me check the website. No x64 97.02 drivers anywhere, even on Nzone beta page or Nvidia's main site. What the hell is up with not supporting XP x64?

Heads up to anyone with XP64, Beware!!!!! I don't know what to do, Should I just pop in my old 7900gt or try older drivers? Suggestions any one?

Ah.. thanks for the suggestion. I came across x64 versions of the 96.89 on Guru3d; just installed them..
Shows up as 8800gtx in NV control panel.. I'm gonna try out NFS carbon and Dark Messiah along with 3dmark 06.
By the way, that links shows it's for vista.. Think that would work?
