I agree with BassBomb.

With no AA and AF the 7900GTX is usually the winner, despite resolutions. But AA/ AF and "High Quality" visual settings usually leaves the X1900XT on the top.

They are about the same but the x1900 takes less of a hit with AA and can do HDR+AA if games support it and has HQAF

I have both 7800 and XTX and the XTX wins substantially in SHARPER, CLEARER picture. I can't stress this enough, on my 2005fpw the XTX compliments it fantastically. The picture provided by the XTX is flat out sharper which is largely I'm kind of reluctant to consider the GX2 over the XTX which I'm now borrowing to decide which to buy

I would say go with the X1900XTX. It is true that the 7900 can be faster with no AA/AF, but if you weren't going to use AA/AF on a high end card, it sounds like a waste to me.

If it's a comment on 2D, I'd have to agree. People talk about superior image quality of ATI in 3D, but I couldn't see it at all. Instead, in 2D, X1900 provided more vivid, saturated color. I'm still not sure why?

i don't see why reviews should include no AA/AF tests for high-end cards. The no IQ tests should be reserved for the budget segement or the mainstream cards.
The x1900 cards have adaptive AA which take less of a performance hit when compared to nvidias transperency multisampling or supersampling AA.And ATI's HQ AF is unparalled.
So i suggest u get the x1900 xt/xtx or a geforce 7950 gx2(not really recommeneded though)

I think the Geforce 7900 GTX and the Ati Radeon X1900 XTX are about dead even. Just from what i read some review places say the 7900 gtx is faster and some say the x1900 xtx is faster. I think it all comes down to what is cheaper.

Although Ati's drivers suck i would defiantly take a 7900 gtx over a x1900 xtx any day. If i had to choose what card i could get i would get a BFG 7900 GTX OC.

I actually just bought a Chaintech 7900 GTX 512mb i have to go pick it up at his house.

My Ati Radeon X850 XT scored a little over 6500 on the 3dmark05 so i am hoping when i get my 7900 gtx i will score over a 11,000. My older brother has a Ati Radeon X1800 XT 512mb, he scored a 9500 on 3dmark05. And my 2nd oldest bro just bought a Evga 7800 GS. By the way i have 3 brothers.
