GeForce 7600GT & CRT question

I just put a new PC together, and the video card I settled on is the GeForce 7600GT. I tried a 19" Samsung 930B flat panel, but I didn't like the quality, my little 17" crap monitor was clearer. So, I'm going to stick with a CRT, and have narrowed my choices down a little, but I need some information on the connections available on the back of my video card.

The main way to connect is via DVI, which I believe is only for the new flat panel LCD monitors. The card comes with an adapter so that you can plug in an old fashioned CRT monitor. It also has a plug that looks like S-Video, with the other end splitting off into S-Video and three cables that look like RCA jacks. I'm guessing that if I were to purchase a CRT monitor that can accept these plugs, I'll be getting a better picture, but I'm not sure. The documentation that came with the card doesn't even mention this connector.

I was looking at THIS monitor that has plugs on the back that look like THIS, and I'm wondering if this is compatable with the extra plugs that came with the 7600GT. Is anyone familiar with this? This monitor can take 5 plugs, the card would only have three (plus the S-Video looking thing).

Also, looking at THIS monitor, it says the input is Video Analog RGB, which again I'm guessing is these cables, but I'm not sure.

Looking at these two monitors, any advice on which is the better one? TIA

The dvi -> vga quality isn't really that bad. The three cables that you were talking about are not rca, they are YPbPr, which is mainly used for HD tvs.

You sure that the flat panel was running at its native resolution? It should be very sharp indeed at native res.

Thanks. It looks like the first monitor I referenced will work, though it looks like it accepts two other plugs besides the YPbPr plugs. The second monitor says the input is Video Analog RGB only. Do you know if there is a big video quality difference between hooking the video card up via the normal video cable, or via the TPbPr cable?

Yeah, I tried it at all kinds of resolutions. I just couldn't get it to look as good as a CRT. I was doing some video editing and everything looked a bit grainy, no matter what I did.

I find DVD's look low quality on a flat panel running 6600GT - haven't tried in on CRT though.
