A friend gave me an old Geforce 7600 GT and when you plug it in and turn it old, there's artifacts everwhere when the computer loads up. It will start to go into Windows but that's when I turn it off because the artifacts are still there.
I've had this EXACT same problem on a Geforce 6800 and when I loosened the screws that attach the heatsink to the card, the problem went away completely. I tried that with this card but there was no luck.
Is this card dead, or is there anything I can do to try to get it to work right again?
