Geforce 7600 GS Overclocking Results

I bought this recently:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130011

The EVGA Geforce 7600 GS 256mb Retail.

Heard it was a decent card, and it came out to $104 afer MIR... rather cheap!

Its natural clock is 400mhz/400mhz and gives me a 3dMark05 result of:
3973 - (17.7, 12.1, and 18.7 fps). Temp = 72 C w/ RTHDRIBL.

I was able to get it up to around 570mhz core / 420mhz memory to give a result of:
4575 - (19.8, 14.5, and 21.4 fps). Temp = 75 C w/ RTHDRIBL.

Any other results out there from comparable systems? This is with an AthlonXP 3700+ overclocked to 2.75 Ghz.

Sounds like the best bang for the buck card available. Get 2 for SLI and you'll have high end performance for a little over 200 bucks!

Nice OC, but i guess the ram side of things arent really good on this card.

Yeah, I was surprised at the low clock on the RAM.

A firingsquad review complained about how they used GDDR2 instead of GDDR3, effectively halving the bandwidth.

Anyone else out there with a comparable budget card? Share your benches!

seems nice. $300 performance for 200 -- not bad.

More like $200 performance for $100... I *wish* it was on par with a 7900. ;-)

Anyone else with cards in a similar ($80-$120) price range? What type of performance are you seeing? What type of overclocks?

I've also got the Evga 550/850 version of this card. I can hit 600/450 on the stock cooling (which is weak as hell), still waiting for a Zalman VF700 to show up so I can really test it's limits.

Doesnt make sense to me why you'd spend money for extra cooling on a $100 card. Might as well spend a little more and get a 7600GT if you're going to do that.

After spending $20 on a VF700 the 7600gs is still $45+ cheaper than the 7600gt, which if I bought the 7600gt I'd still put a VF700 on it either way too. Is it stupid to buy a 3000+ and an aftermarket HSF instead of just getting a 3200+? How does that not make sense?
