My card has over time been running hotter and hotter. Right now it's ideling at 84C and I just turned the computer on 30 minutes ago .

It used to idle at around 60 degrees 85 degrees underload(Had the card for a year).

The thing overheats when playing battlefield 2. Computer will lockup mid game, I reset the machine get back into Windows check the card temp 100C(Threshold is 135C)

I am not overclocking. My case setup has not changed at all since I first installed this card and I've even cleaned the case and all fans of dust.

What could have cause this card to start running so hot?

Loose HSF? If under warrnty you might want to RMA it instead of damaging it or at least voiding the warranty by trying to fix it yourself.

Must be the HSF, either loose or maybe stuck fan, too much dust, something like that.

I thinking about RMAing it but I don't want to be without a computer for a few weeks. 🙁
