I want to make an upgrade to my Abit NF7-S. I'm getting more memory and thought It is a good time to replace my Radeon 9800 Pro. Which one would you get and why? Any opinions would be welcome.

with the 6800GS agp there's a chance you can unlock the extrapipes(6800gt), and right now there's a pretty good deal on a BFG 6800GS agp at Newegg.

I'd say the 6800GS due to SM3 and a slightly lower price. The x850pro is clocked roughly the same only has 1 more vertex pipeline so their performance is probably as close to identical as ati/nvidia cards can be.

edit: $200 for that bfg 6800gs?? wow, do that.

If the x850pro is a vivo model, then there's a very high chance it will unlock to 16 pipes and OC to x850xt speeds, which would beat a 6800u, so it would definitely beat a 6800gs. But it you're not into unlocking/OC'ing or cant find a vivo x850, then the 6800gs is a good alternative.

Thanks for the info. I'm going with the 6800 GS. The card on sale at newegg seems like a really nice buy.
