geforce 6600 and 7900gs in sli

I just got a new 7900gs video card to replace my old 6600 geforce card I was just wondering if its really even worth it to put in sli mode or not, also does it matter that ones a 6 gen and the other is a 7 gen? I'm running in windows vista if that is a problem to with immature drivers or not?

You can't SLI different model graphic cards.
