I thought that Aero would work with a WDDM 1.0 driver, is that not true? Does a card have to be DX10 or better for Windows 7's Aero interface?

I remember my tecra m4 was sold as "vista ready" that damn 6200 doesnt handle aero, I think they had a memory requirement of 128mb which this sadly does not have. its been awhile, but it may not work for other reasons

Huh. This is a PNY 256MB AGP 8X GeForce 6200(A) card. Computer system is:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (1.8Ghz)
512MB DDR-400 RAM
939Dual-VSTA mobo
40GB Maxtor IDE HD
22X Samsung IDE DVD burner with LightScribe

Hey, I just got it working. I right-clicked the desktop, selected "Personalize", and then I selected the default Windows 7 Aero theme. For some reason, my theme defaulted to Windows 7 Basic, which was a non-Aero theme. Strange.

Edit: Hmm, I did the Windows Performance Index thing, and I got:
CPU: 3.6
RAM: 2.9
Graphics (Aero): 1.0
Graphics (Gaming): 3.2
Disk: 5.4

GeForce 6200 only scores 1.0 for Aero graphics capability? Does anyone else get that with a 6200 AGP?

Edit: Maybe that's the case with all AGP cards, since the OS has to do readback of the graphics buffers after compositing, and AGP cards only function as PCI to do readback. (AGP interface is most write-only)
