I am looking for a "Good non OC AM2 GeForce 6150 motherboard" but am torn between these three: Asus M2NPV-VM, MSI K9NGM2-FID, DFI C51PV-M2/G. There are no available reviews so it is very confusing. Anyone have any experience with these motherboards? Any reply would be very helpful. Thanks

  1. ASUS M2NPV-VM (Global site) or ASUS M2NPV-VM (USA site)

The specifications are basically the same as ASUS A8N-VM CSM.
    • Memory: DDR2 800/667/533 ECC and non-ECC,un-buffered memory, max 8GB
    • Audio: AID AD1986A 5.1 channel HD, the same as A8N-VM CSM.
    • BIOS: FSB from 200MHz to 400MHz. No HTT multiplier options. No CPU voltage adjustment. DDR2 Voltage: Auto (1.8V) or 1.9V. However actual overclocking is very POOR. Many report no booting at FSB 215MHz to 220MHz.
    • Accessories: 1 x HDTV/AV/S output module (component, composite, S video). No S/PDIF module. 1 x IEEE1394a module.
    • AMD LIVE? ready
  2. DFI INFINITY C51PV-M2/G
    • Memory: DDR2 667/533, max 4GB
    • Audio: ALC850 7.1 channel AC'97.
    • BIOS: Full overclocking options.
    • Rear panel: 1 x S-Video TV-out port (no composite or component). 1 x optical S/PDIF.
  3. MSI K9NGM2-FID (Global site) or MSI K9NGM2-FID (USA site)[/b]

Specificatons are mostly the same as MSI K8NGM2-FID. But,
    • Memory: DDR2 800/667/533, max 8GB
    • Audio: Realtek ALC883 7.1 channel HD.
    • BIOS: No overclocking options. No CPU voltage adjustment. No DDR2 voltage adjustment.
    • Accessories: No TV-out bracket. 1 x Audio/SPDIF (RCA) bracket.
    • AMD LIVE? readyCited from the first post of The *Official* MSI K8NGM2-FID GeForce 6150 Motherboard Thread (MSI K8NGM2-FID: The Definitive Guide: Section 2. Choosing a GeForce 6150 Board > Available MicroATX Motherboards with GeForce 6150 and Other Equivalent Chipsets > Socket AM2 GeForce 6150 Boards). The post also includes a brief summary of Radeon Xpress and Conroe/Merom boards.

Nice replies guys but the OP did request user experience feedback not just a spec list.

I asked the same question in the S939 version of this thread a while back but was completely ignored on there too.
I'll keep watching here for developments but am leaning toward the MSI...

sadly, not too many people have jumped on AM2 because of the C2D blitz, so there isn't a lot of feedback to give.

on the other hand, we do know that the MSI K8NGM2-FID (AM2) board has all the recommended features requested by users, and is based off its predecessor the s939 K8NGM2-FID board which has proved to be the most popular s939 6150 chipset motherboard with users.
