I have a Biostar Tforce 6100 in the mail, and will be getting a 6800GS for Christmas, but I'm wondering what kind of games/performance I can be expecting in the meantime.

Will I be able to play Doom 3, or Quake 4, or even Counterstrike well? Is there some "equivalent" old card I can pull up benchmarks for and get an idea?

Actually, ignore me completely. I found some relevant benchamrks for the 6100 that somehow eluded me before.

What are the results of the benchmarks? Would the 6100 or 6150 be better than the Ti 4200 I am running now?

Probably. Anandtech ran some good benches when they got the 6150 Asus board, check that out :)

Did you check the benchmarks? I don't think that ti4200 will have that much on the 6100. Check out the HP article to see how a good IGP system fairs. Not awesome, but Far Cry and HL2 are both very playable in all their dx9 glory.

My 6100 was slower overall than a Radeon 9000 or Geforce3 I had in a backup rig. 6150 otoh, might do better.

hmm... surprising. Seems like it would do a lot better, especially looking at what Anandtech was saying. Very possible though... were you using the ram in dual channel, etc?

Single 512 stick. Also, being a S754 board it wont do dual channel. I was expecting better performance. The board does have an open PCIe slot for future upgrades, but my brother had me build the machine for Office Duty, so he is fine with it, as is.
