I just bought final fantasy xi and whenever I run it, I get a cannot initalize direct3d error. Well, when I go into direct x diagnostics, I get this:
No problems found.

To test DirectDraw functionality, click the "Test DirectDraw" button above.
Direct3D functionality not available. You should verify that the driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer.
DirectDraw Accelration, Direct3d Aceleration, AGP Texture Acceleration Not avaialable.

I have reinstalled directx 9.0b and I have resintalled drivers for the video card. When I reinstall drivers, I cant get the nvidia wizard to install. So, under displayed>advanced there is no nifty nvidia wiazrd to help me setup features. Can anyone help?

try lowering the AGP aperture size in the bios , 128 max. i know it sounds stupid , but i had the exact same problem a few months ago and that cured it.
good luck
