Who knows. Maybe he'll be making a profit on that one.

No, not cut short by the seller.
"Auction has ended with Buy It Now."
"nguyenmpl(7) is the winner"

Yup it was a BUY NOW sale....So he had it listed @ $1.99 as the buy now price.

Spendy misprint I'm thinking.

Frankly, I don't know if the seller is liable. Does he legally have to complete the transaction even though it is clear beyond a reasonable doubt he didn't mean $1.99?

It's not clear though. Thats what he put up as the buy it now price, he's legally obligated to sell it to him.

There is no legal obligation if money doesn't change hands (or any other consideration). It's possible even if consideration was given, he could get out of it legally anyway. There are laws that address situations like this and the seller isn't necessarily always SOL just because he makes an obvious pricing error.

That's because new auctions aren't available for search until several hours after posting (until the next update, unless you know the exact item number).

The way I see it, seller will take a negative rather than to be out $200.

And 4462 positives.
I seriously doubt he'll sweat another negative to the point where he'd lose 200 bucks over a misprint.

Maybe it's one of them "informational" auctions--"How to get a Ti4600 for $1.99" :D

Admit it now--how many of you went to check out the seller's other auctions? :D
