GeForce 4 Ti4200 problems

I have the above video card and am having a problem that I can't figure out. I can't seem to play "Neverwinter Nights" on my machine. The game loads up just fine, but the video stutters and after 10-15min of game play the system either locks up or I get a "C++ runtime error in nwmain." Since this first happened I have updated all of my drivers and BIOS, tried to play with my soundcard disabled (as Atari tech suggested), replaced my OS from XP to Win2K Pro, even tried the older version of DX (8) with no luck. My buddy has the same mobo setup, sans the video and sound and he runs "NWN" just fine. I believe the problem is either my video card or something wierd in the BIOS that I haven't thought of.
Has anyone out there had this prob with this particular game and/or card? Any advice or info would be most helpful.

Sorry about that. A clean install was one thing I forgot to put in my original post. Didn't work either. Atari tech support is scratching their heads. They must be, they keep emailing me back with the same solutions: reinstall the game, update your drivers, patch the game, blah,blah...

Try to disable AGP fastwrites or sideband addressing (SBA) either in your BIOS or in the Nvidia control panel.
