UPDATE Open GL did the trick. Direct 3D was choking.

Hi guys, I'm using an Albatron GeForce 4 Ti4200 with 128 RAM. It seems to perform very well, all except this.
When I swim in the water playing a Half Life game online, the water shows up as big flashy triangles.
It's very hard to navigate in the water due to this.
I'm running the latest Detonator drivers.

My rig is:
EPOX 8KHA+ Athlon 1800+
SoundBlaster Live
768 megs DDR
etc.

Thanks bigc, but I couldn't find anything there. Gonna check some of the HalfLife sites and see what I can dig up.

You have obviously tried different video modes? I found 1024 mode works pretty good in Open GL, but not Direct3d.
Also, I noticed a couple weeks ago before I bought my 9500 pro... The latest drives for my GeForce, from the NVidia website, were causing my screensaver not to run, and a couple of other errors. I found the fix was to use Microsoft's latest nvidia driver, which was slightly older than the newest nvidia, but all those little graphical anomolies dissapeared. Start the update by going to control panel, windows update (on left hand menu, in windows xp).
