Hmm, it's just a reference board, it's not meant to dazzle with it's chic fashion sense.

If anything, the nvidia reference cards over time have been fairly well laid out. Anandtech did a good comparison for us between an MSI Geforce3 card compared to the nvidia reference.
Here you can see that the nvidia card shares a similar layout to the commercial MSI card, and the amount/way components are spread out on both sides of the board is fairly similar. As over time, nearly all cards based on nv chips have used the reference layout, I think the Geforce4 reference card will not differ from production ones by a huge amount.

Forget about picture and reference broad, just head on over to your Local Apple store, they have GF4mx Powermac already setup for demo and also have stock on hand for purchase right away!
