Geforce 4 and 300 Watt PS?

I've read a few places that a 300W PS isn't enough juice for a geforce 4?

I plan on ordering a leadtek 4400 in the next week or so, and am curious if it will give me problems.
Anyone care to share their advice or experiences? Thanks. :)

Video card should never cause power problems, unless it is AGP slot related. The AGP slot is capable of only 25W, which is why AGP Pro was created to push the limit up to 50W. Unless you are using something like a Voodoo5 which has an extra power draw connector, your video card will never be above 25W.

300 watts will be plenty. The only video card that required a "bunch" from the power supply was the Voodoo5. No worries.

Im running my Visiontek GF4 Ti4400 just fine on a 300W PS. I have two 92mm fans, two 80mm fans, a Delta 60mm on my heatsink, one HDD, one FDD, a DVD and a CDRW also running on my PS. <<<KNOCK ON WOOD>>> no problems here with 300W PS.

I'm thinking of getting a TI4200, But I only have a 230W PS. Hopefully it'll be enough.

Bah- I had a 250 watt psu and had no problems with the Ti4400. You are thinking of Radeon 8500. (btw- my V5 ran fine too)
Anyway, I've "upgraded" to a 350 watt psu, have noticed no difference.
