GeForce 3 without DX 8?

Hello all!

I am currently playing a game that is known to have problems with Direct X 8, so I have decided to keep using DX 7 on my system. I want to upgrade my graphics card and would like to get a new GeForce 3 Card. Will I be able to use this card without installing DX 8 ?

Yes,but the Geforce3 will have better performance with DirectX8 installed & DirectX8 games,at the moment there is not many DirectX8 games but by Christmas this will change.So games that don`t need DirectX8 should run OK with DirectX7 & Geforce3.

Yes you would be able to use it without DX8 but most of the 'features' of it besides the better memory management and FSAA would be wasted.
