GeForce 3 Ultra/Pro - when?

I've been carefully saving up now to buy a GeForce 3 at reduced price once the GeForce 3 Ultra / Pro arrives.

But when can i expect this?
And what are the estimates on the price drops?

Most of the rumors I've heard say to expect a GF3 Ultra card sometime in the second half of this year, more likely towards the end of the year. As for price drops, it might be $50, it might be $100, nobody really knows.

If you need the power of GF3 now, buy one. If not, wait. Better things are always just around the corner.

Well from what my source informed me(reliable), the Ultra's will be hitting first weeks of of October, and the Pro versions will be oem'd around the sametime if not week or 3 later. As for MX's, those should hit the sametime as the ultra or if they even scrap the deal or not. But the spec'd timeframe looks just about right as this was the same debate last year when the ultra's of the GF2 like came out in september but raped the market around october.

Man, I can't wait either to get one of the current GeForce 3's at a lower price. I can survive with my MX 2 for now, but it'll sure be nice to have that new card. BTW, I've heard that processor speed will also have a big effect on graphics with that card. Is it true? I've got a Duron 600@800 and 384MB of CAS3 on a KT7. Is this sufficient, or should I think about upgrading this instead of my card?
