GeForce 3 to 91.36?

Currently running a GF 3 card on 40.72 driver - what happens if I update to 91.36? Will it work???

Yes

Only the recent later 90 series and Vista drivers drop support for Geforce FX and below.

NVidia's drivers are backwards compatible for all cards within that family, I.E. the GeForce Family. The driver for GeForce family of cards is good for any card from a GeForce2 GTS to a 7900GTX.

BTW; the latest driver for the GeForce family is 93.71 (WinXP/Win2000

yes it will work however you will incure a pretty big performance drop up to 20% compared to the earlier drivers...possible because the new drivers are no longer completly optimised for the older hardware.

However he gains all the bug fixes that newer drivers have.
