A buddy of mine just picked up an Asylum GeForce FX 5200 card to put in his computer that we're going to be building up for him, but in the meantime we're putting it in my machine. I have a Geforce 3 Ti200 and i've been running benchmarks in Quake3 and the framerates I get with my Ti200 are slaughtering the 5200. Can anyone provide me with some insight here? Machine is a 2.53GHZ p4, 512 megs 266DDR ram, WinXP and 44.03 Nvidia drivers.

Quake 3 1024x768x32 everything maxed. (geforce 3)
No AA or AF AA-2x AA-Quincunx AA-4x
AF-4x AF-8x AF-8x
133 FPS 53 FPS 50 FPS 33 FPS

FX 5200
No AA or AF AA-2x AA-Quincunx AA-4x
Af-4x AF-8x AF-8x
72 FPS 39 FPS 38FPS 21FPS

There's something wrong with your testing because the FX5200 isn't that slow, I found that the 128mb FX5200 and my Geforce (faster than a GF3 Ti200) was very close in performance. Is the FX5200 128mb or 64mb?

It's a 128 Meg card...how do I got about checking the memory? I don't see it printed anywhere on the box or in my panel for the 5200.

If I'm not mistaken, every review of the Prolink Pixelview shows it as having higher-than-stock speeds, 275/250 vs. 250/200. So Prolink numbers aren't comparable to reguklar 5200 numbers.
