wrong forum. Also to answer your question, it depends on how much you're willing to spend.

depends on your CPU for one - anything less than ~ 1.6 GHz and you can forget it (you'll be limited by CPU speed). Post this in video, you'll probably get more replies (plus I should stop encouraging this ... )

I think we'll have to wait for Doom3 before we can answer that question.

You hit the nail right on the head!!!:D So in other words don't waste your hard earned bucks untill there is some game out there than can tap the power:(

While it's true that CPU greatly contributes to gaming experience, the above statement in itself is false. It only takes a very baseline system, I'd say Athlon/P3 at around 1GHz, to be videocard-limited even with Ti/4600 at certain situations. For instance, UT 2002 at 1152x864/FSAA is video card limited on my system (Athlon 1.33GHz/Ti4400), and as resolution is increased and games become more graphically intensive, video card dependency only increases. There are situations in which you don't even need FSAA to be video card limited, such as extremely intensive particle effects (huge clouds of smoke, explosion etc.).

Your ti500 is still more than capable for current games, Hold onto it and consider the nv31 (cut down nv30) when that arrives in 6 months or so.

or get a 9700pro sence money is no object and it realy is something more than just a faster version of the card you arleady have.
