GeForce 3 Question

I have an Asus GeForce 3 Ti 200 T2 V8200 series video card, had it for awhile but just realized that its not working at its full potential. I don't play too many games w/ my computer usually CS or Max Payne. When I play CS I put the FPS display on and I'm only getting 72FPS constant when other players are getting 99+ I dunno wut the deal is with my video card. Can anyone give me suggestions of how to optimize it?

My Current Comp Setup

ABit KR7A-133 VIA KT266A (with raid if it makes any difference)
Athlon XP 1900+ @ 1600MHz
Crucial 256MB PC2100
AGP 4X (Side Band Off)

I thought it was because I had old drivers, but I updated to the most recent ones and It still only gets 72FPS, I have no idea how to turn on the side band on. My board supports it dunno how. Any tips?

What refresh rate are you running your monitor at?

Maybe VSynch is turned on?
If it is, you'll never reach higher FPS than the refresh rate you are using.

halflife has a cap on fPS to 72..

you need to type cl_maxfps 100 in the console (i think)
or maxfps 100 or maxfps_100 (one of those)
