GeForce 3 Problems...help me?

hey, heres what happened: had an old Voodoo 3 that i replaced with a Geforce 3...installed okay, everything seemed fine. then tried out Op Flashpoint, autodetected to Direct 3D and ran sh!ttily (very low FPS) , only other option was Glide, so i let it be and started CS. set it to use OpenGl default, and it corrupted the screen and crashed every time i tried to start a game. went back and deleted all 3dfx drivers and reg keys ,thinking that might be it. that didn't work either, and im kind of stumped now. all i can imagine is that it might be the mobo (really old, running a celeron 300A, will replace it soon). any ideas guys?

Did you uninstall your voodoo card before installing the GF3? IF not that could be your problem. You should uninstall your voodoo. power off computer, then put it the GF3.

No joke ,you probably have old Voodoo driver files still in the system that`s probably effecting the GF3,so best bet is reformat and clean install of OS,best way I know of removing all old drivers 100%.

You could try going in safe mode and remove all video cards listed under display adaptors in device manager, reboot in standard VGA and try again with the GF3 drivers if that does not work then reformat job is needed.

He's right .. If I was you I would just do a clean install, get rid of all those 3DFX drivers... It will slow you down big time (My expeirence) you gotta think before you install new hardware!
