I can't seem to get my GeForce 3 to perform like it should. I'm using a Asus A7V266 mobo with a VIA VT8366 chipset, and Windows XP. I installed the 4in1 driver version 4.34, and of couse could only install the INF driver since XP is suppose to have the others integrated. Unfortunatly this does not help at all. Under 3DMark I got a score of 4382 which is dissapointing considering the lowest on the MadOnion site with my spec to the closest is 4700! My Fill rate(single-tex) was 432.6, Fill rate(multi-tex) 1005.4, High Poly count(1 light) 14, High Poly(8 lights) 3.1!, and EBM 60.9! Those are the most dractic ratings to show how slow it's running. Someone please help!!

On 3DMark a person with the exact system with 128M less memory (and was PC133) scored higher, about 500 points higher! My Poly count should not be this low.

The system I compared it to had 3.6, but the Fill rat is what really bothered me. I had 432.6, it had 17346.1!

1. Did u ever have this geforce 3 performing right?
2. Did you just get it?
3. What brand Geforce 3 is it? is it a TI series or regular?

I has never worked right since the day I got it. I saw a performance increase, but not much. I even changed mobos. It's a VisionTek GeForce (Regular)

BTW. if u answered No to #1 it might be getting to hot meaning the heatsink or fan isnt doing good enough job to keep it cool enough.

if u answered YES to #2 good. That means u probably can take it back for a return so u can get another. If not u can still send it to the company who made it and they can give u a new one as long its under warrenty. but lets first see if anyone else has any ideas

ohh. hmm....... have u tried a different benchmark? Like quake 3??????? how does it stack up to other people with almost the same config as u ? or just tell us what u get in quake 3 (or any other game u have to bench)?

EDIT: Btw what is your CPU temp and other temps u can read (case?). I doubt this is the issue just curious.

Also do u have another video card u can try out and see if u get the right 3dmark score for that card?

Well, the problem started even with my GeForce 2 MX 400, so I'm thinking maybe some type on configuration problem. I mean, Diablo 2 is not exactly a high graphics program, and I have studdering problem in certain parts of the game.
