GeForce 3 on Low-end machines

I guess I'm more mid-range to low end - 700Mhz Athlon with 256K. My question is: are there bottlenecks due to my CPU speed which will limit my Geforce performance? I'm wondering if I'll ever be able to fully tap into the power of this card with my current situation? Or am I better just sticking to a Geforce 2 or Radeon?

I'm not really concerned with the whole "is-it-worth-the-money" debate. Assuming one has the money and my CPU, is it worth it?

Thanks for any help!

I think you have a fairly decent CPU there. Basically with the G3, you will probably be cpu limited when you are lower than 1024 or so. The good side, is that it means that you could probably play with quincunx enabled all the time, and notice no difference in performance, but notice an improvement in 3D image quality.

Think about it this way, the Xbox, with its NV2A chipset, houses a P3 700 (or is it 733?). Since the Athlon features a superior FPU, your CPU will have no problem running games smoothly and at most of the capacity of the GF3.
